I decouple the interface with Next.js and an API layer without replacing the stable backend all at once.

I plan the move in stages, check URLs, data and integrations, and make sure there is a safe way back.

I understand the system before I change it

I do not suggest a rewrite simply because a system is old. I first look at what makes money, where the real bottleneck is and which parts can change independently. Then I build something the team can keep supporting.

I kept the working PHP backend and SEO structure, then moved the interface and search to Next.js + Elasticsearch. The store stayed online during the transition.
